Melton Mowbray Photographic Society want more newcomers to join them

Melton Mowbray Photographic Society start their 71st season next month and invite budding photographers to join them at their open evening on September 21.

The group caters for all levels and types of photography. They always allow potential newcomers to attend for three meetings before they commit to becoming full members.

New members will receive a discounted rate of £36 for their first season, which is amazing value at a little over £1 per meeting.

Melton Mowbray Photographic Societychairman David Morris said: “There will be a short welcoming presentation before the less formal activities for you to join in.

“We will be showing a selection of our members work for you to view and find out how they were taken. Or why not bring your camera along as we will have some tables set up and manned by our members to talk about macro photography, and explain all about camera settings.

“Admission and refreshments will be free so you have nothing to lose.”

The open evening will be held at the Samworth Centre, Burton Street, Melton.

Meet upstairs at 7.15pm for a 7.30pm start. Use the side entrance between the Crown Inn and the centre.
