From 2024 to 2025, the charity supported over 580 girls through its 16 weekly groups, which provide a safe, consistent space for girls needing emotional and social support.

Led by trained youth workers, the sessions use creative activities, games and guided discussions to explore vital topics such as online safety, coping strategies, managing emotions, and issues surrounding drugs and alcohol.

Lara Best, Fundraiser at Love4Life, said: “We are so grateful to have been chosen to receive this donation from David Wilson Homes. We receive no government funding and deliver all of our services for free, so fundraising is crucial to our work.

“Being recognised for the impact we make is incredibly rewarding and enables us to continue delivering life-changing support to some of the most vulnerable young people in our local communities.”

David Wilson Homes’ donation was made as part of its Community Fund scheme via The Barratt Redrow Foundation, which is designed to support national and local charities, large and small, across the UK to leave a legacy in the communities in which the housebuilder operates.

The Barratt Redrow Foundation is celebrating its fifth anniversary in 2026. Since its launch, it has committed £20 million to charities and good causes, supported over 2,000 different charities, and is estimated to have directly impacted 100,000 young people each year.

Lara added: “Donations such as those through David Wilson Homes’ Community Fund scheme are a lifeline for us and give us reassurance that we can continue supporting young people who need us, both now and in the future.”

John Reddington, Managing Director at David Wilson Homes East Midlands, said: “We’re proud to support Love4Life through our Community Fund scheme. The charity provides vital support to girls at a critical stage in their lives, helping them to build confidence, resilience and a better understanding of healthy relationships.

“We hope this donation will help the charity to continue its important work, and we’re pleased to play a part in supporting the positive impact it has across the region.”
