Villagers celebrate British legion milestones

Villagers have been celebrating their association with the Royal British Legion with a buffet lunch at Harby village hall.

The event was organised to mark the 95th anniversary of the Hose and Harby branch of the legion being formed and also the centenary of the Royal British Legion being founded.

Guest of Honour was Brigadier William Hurrell, Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Leicestershire, who gave a speech to thank everyone for their contributions, highlighted the excellent work of the legion and also cut a celebratory cake.
