Vehicle caught on camera towing stolen excavator and trailer

This is a vehicle suspected to have been used by thieves who stole an excavator and trailer from a property on the edge of the Vale of Belvoir.

Security captured the 14ft Ifor Williams LM146G trailer and three-tonne Hitachi EX30 excavator being towed away from a site at Manor Road in Easthorpe.

The vehicle used is believed to have been a blue and silver 2004 Mitsubishi Montero sport, which moved off on Castle View Road in the direction of the A52.

Leicestershire Police are appealing for witnesses to the theft, which took place on Tuesday July 13, between 6.30pm and 7pm.
