Reduced Tuesday street market to go ahead
Only food, confectionary, takeaway hot food and drink, plants, pet food and face masks will be sold by traders in line with new government guidance.
The list of allowable goods is longer than when it was when a reduced market was held during the first lockdown period between March and July.

Town bailiff, Billy Boulding, told the Melton Times: “There will only be a few stall as there were for the last lockdown but we can now sell plants which weren’t allowed before.
“We will have to stick to the reduced stalls for the next weeks unless we get more guidance from the government in the meantime.
“We would ask people to stick to social distancing guidelines and we hope to have our other traders back on the market soon.”

He added: “Children’s play equipment can still be used, according to the new rules, but we have closed the outdoor gym because of the guidelines which say that gyms have to close.”
