'Incredibly proud' Melton estate agents celebrate national industry awards
The lettings team at a Melton Mowbray estate agency are celebrating winning recognition at a prestigious industry awards event.
Bentons, which is based in Nottingham Street, was given a Silver for the service it gives to tenants and a bronze for how it works with landlords at the 2026 ESTAS Awards, showcasing the best in the residential property industry.

The awards are particularly meaningful, the company says, because they are determined by verified customer reviews rather than a judging panel, reflecting the experiences of landlords and tenants who have used the agency's services.
Elizabeth Bateman, managing director at Bentons, commented: “We are incredibly proud to have received two customer service awards.
"This recognition means so much to us because it reflects the dedication, care and professionalism our team shows every day.
“These awards belong to every member of the Bentons team, whose commitment to delivering outstanding service makes a real difference to our clients.”
The recognition comes as the private rented sector adapts to significant reforms under the Renters' Rights Act 2025.
The next phase of reforms includes plans for a Private Rented Sector Database and Landlord Ombudsman, placing greater emphasis on transparency, compliance and professional property management.
Gabrielle Pollard, lettings director at Bentons, added: “The Renters’ Rights Act has fundamentally changed the private rented sector, but good landlords should not be fearful of change.
"Greater professionalism, clearer standards, and well-managed tenancies can benefit landlords and tenants alike.
“Our role at Bentons is to take the complexity out of the legislation, keep our clients compliant and help them continue to make confident, informed decisions about their property investments.”
