Melton brewery prepares to host annual beer and live music festival
If you love beer and live music the perfect event for you is coming up in Melton Mowbray tomorrow (Saturday).
The town’s multi-award winning brewery, Round Corner Brewing, is again hosting the Sound Corner Music Festival at its HQ on the Stockyard, off Scalford Road and Nottingham Road.
The event is on Saturday July 4, from noon until 10pm with a a diverse line-up of rock, folk and acoustic artists across two stages - the Main Stage and also the Acoustic Stage in the Taproom.
There will also be a great range of street food to sample as well as the ales produced on site by the team at Round Corner Brewery.
Colin Paige, co-founder and managing director of the brewery, said: “We started Sound Corner because we wanted to create something that felt very Melton Mowbray – relaxed, welcoming and full of character.
"There’s so much talent in this area, both on stage and behind the scenes, and this event gives us a chance to shine a spotlight on that.
"It’s brilliant to see people coming together over great music and a few beers, while also supporting local businesses and discovering everything our town has to offer.
"That community feel is what Sound Corner is all about.”
This year’s live music line-up blends established crowd favourites with exciting emerging talent, the organisers say.
Festivalgoers can look forward to performances from well-known acts, including Idle Hands and Emily Victoria, alongside rising young artists, such as Bella and the 1912s, helping to showcase the very best of the region’s live music scene.
Alongside the music, attendees can enjoy a carefully selected range of street food vendors and fresh beer from Round Corner Brewing’s celebrated collection, creating a relaxed and vibrant festival atmosphere throughout the day and into the evening.
Round Corner Brewing’s latest success came at the BFBI International Brewing Awards, in London with their beers winning three silver medals and a bronze medal.
