Having been heavily outscored in the opening two legs, the visitors had the chance to get back in the game when asked to chase just 26 in the third leg, only to fall short when needing just four for victory from their last man.

Wymeswold then went on to grab the final leg by just one pin to record their first maximum of the season.

Darren Wagg once again top-scored for the home side for the third game in a row with a solid 25 while Ady Hubbard's 23 was the highlight for the visitors.

Syston Cons B left it late again to confirm their unbeaten status after a last gasp 3-1 victory over visitors Top House.

The game was closely contested all evening and the home side did well to establish a 2-0 lead, despite missing several regulars.

Top House fought back to reduce the deficit before posting a competitive 27 in the final leg only to find Syston's last man, Chris Buxton, once again snatching victory with two pins from the final ball of the night to see them home by just one pin and confirm the 3-1 victory.

Dave Clark and Roger Sharpe shared top score for the home side with 23 while Bob Holmes top-scored for the visitors with an excellent 26.

Syston Cons remain in second place in the League, two points adrift of leaders Wymeswold but with a game in hand.

Syston Social Club comfortably picked up the first two frames of the evening to move into a 2-0 lead against visitors Sileby.

However, that was to be as good as it got for the home side with Sileby chasing down a below par 23 to pull it back to 2-1 before snatching an unlikely 2-2 draw after Syston failed to chase down the visitors lowly total of just 19 pins in the final leg.

Clarke Anderson, with 21, was the only home player to break 20 with Steve George recording a nine in his total of 19.

Steve Taggart's 19 was the top score for a Sileby side that continue to pick up points despite not having yet registered a victory so far this season.

Barrow Cons made it two wins from three away games this season with a comprehensive 3.5-0.5 victory away to Carington Cons.

The visitors heavily outscored their opponents across the course of the evening with a tie for the second leg proving to be the only consolation for the home team.

James Williams top-scored once again for Carington with 24 while Richard Cox and Scott Price shared a top score of 23 for Barrow with both players registering their first nines of the season.
