Asfordby FC Poachers cap season with Harborough win


Hill went close early on with a shot from distance, and the hosts went ahead when Hill gathered the ball and sent it over the defence for Dolby whose shot beat the keeper’s dive.
Good work in midfield from Swann and Smith saw Hill release Rowe to fire into the bottom corner for 2-0.

Clarke replaced Barnes on the wing for the second half which saw Harborough grow frustrated as Asfordby pushed for another goal, leading to some very tasty tackles.
Hill corner’s found Deacon on the edge of the box and his shot went in off the keeper and post for 3-1.
In the previous fixture against Harborough, Asfordby threw away a 2-0 lead, but this time the whole team stood strong, with Eldred marshalling his defence of Halliday, Atton and Deacon, and Barnes coming back on for Dolby.
