Ukulele players invited to join popular Melton Mowbray group
Ukulele players in the Melton Mowbray area are invited to join a group who play concerts to raise money for local causes.
Melstrum Ukulele Orchestra, who have been playing since 2009, is recruiting new musicians.
They meet every Tuesday evening at Burton Lazars Village Hall for a relaxed session of playing and singing and, sometimes, to rehearse for an upcoming gig.
A spokesperson for the orchestra said: “If you love strumming some basic chords on the Ukulele and are comfortable singing along, you might be interested in being part of our friendly group of around 15 players who enjoy making music to raise funds for charity.
“We are looking for new recruits who can see themselves performing and entertaining audiences with a variety of music from our wide repertoire of popular songs.
“If you would like to come along for an introductory evening please go to our website.”
