Hundreds of people enjoyed attractions scattered across the village which were organised by village hall committee members.

Rebecca Woolley organiser and a member of the committee said: “The teddy bear trail was a huge success. Everyone commented on the beautifully decorated and themed bears, and the children loved finding them around the village.

“In total we had 17 car booters, five garage sales and there were 17 bears to find in the teddy trail.

“At the village hall we had a real ale bar, barbecue and tea and cakes were served. There was also an art exhibition of works by artist Jane Hancock.

“We think that we’ve raised around £600 profit for the Goadby Marwood Village Hall floor restoration fund.

“Our sincere thanks to all of those who attended, donated prizes or other items and helped on the day.”
