Sue takes on 26-mile challenge for charity in memory of close friend
A Melton Mowbray woman is to walk 26 miles to raise money for charity in memory of a close friend.
Sue Tyler, a home shopping picker at the town’s Tesco supermarket, is taking on the challenge on August 1 in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society.

On why she was inspired to do it, Sue said: “I am doing this walk in memory of a dear friend, Sheila Stevens, who was taken from us so cruelly by dementia.
"The Alzheimer’s Society works towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives, giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future.”
Sue has set a personal fundraising goal of £1,200 and the funds were swelled thanks to staff and customers at her Tesco workplace.
Becky Woodcock, community champion, at the store said the supermarket was able to donate £100 from its Charity Book Shelf.
