Thousands of people enjoyed attending this year’s event in May and the first one in 2021.

Next year it will be held on the weekend of May 13 and 14.

One of the organisers, Sharon Brown, said: “We’re planning to do a parade through the town of vehicles and jeeps from the1940s, or older.

"We would also like veterans and Land Army Girls from the Second World War to take part, as well as the Royal British Legion, cadets, scouts and also representatives of the vet camp in the town.“It would be fabulous if we could get hold of any veterans from Melton or villages in the borough, to join in with next year’s event.”Anyone interested in getting involved or learning more can email [email protected] or call Sharon on 07837 398610.
