The Amwell care home manager, Chris Batty, said: “We were very proud to be involved in our first National Cupcake Day. The Alzheimer’s Society undertake incredible work and, as a care home which offers dementia care, we wanted to do our bit by helping to raise money for such a worthy cause.
“Dementia can affect anyone and currently there is no cure. The more money that can be raised, the better we can make the world for those suffering with this disease today, while hopefully helping to find a permanent cure for tomorrow.”
