Fairtrade at Christmas
Many of us associate Christmas with giving. Most obviously, this takes the form of the gifts that we share with our friends and families. Some people also choose this time of year to give to charity, donate to food banks or give up their time to volunteer.
By buying Fairtrade food products for your Christmas meals or gifting Fairtrade presents, you can take your giving to another level. Fairtrade supports 2 million farmers and workers across 68 countries, so they can improve their living standards, invest in their communities and businesses, and protect our shared environment.
There is firm evidence that Fairtrade improves lives as workers and farmers receive the Fairtrade Minimum Price giving them a better cash flow, greater access to credit and the ability to save more easily.
To make it easier for you to find Fairtrade products this year, the Fair Trading Post at 10 Market Place, Melton Mowbray will be open between 10-3 on Sundays in December and opening specially on Monday 23 December between 10 and 3.

The store stocks a wide range of everyday and special food items, clothing, bags, toys, jewellery and gifts for children, men and women of all ages.
So why not spread some goodwill and joy around the world this year and add Fairtrade products and gifts to your Christmas list?
