This Festival saw the club cater for children from year’s 5/6 covering ages ten and eleven years.

The previous Festival had attracted one hundred and fifty school children to the club but this figure was knocked for six with a massive two hundred and twenty five youngsters attending the club over the morning and afternoon sessions.

The club were delighted to see more Schools attending these sessions with

Old Dalby Primary, Swallowdale Primary, Sherard Primary, Captains Close Primary, Stathern Primary, Somerby Primary, Brownlow Primary, Grove Primary, Ab Kettlebye Primary, Birch Wood School and Somerby Primary all joining in the fun and games.

Coach Ryan Parmar along with Head Coach Di Burdett headed up the sessions and were assisted by Melton and Belvoir School coordinator Claire Marlowe and assisted by enthusiastic school staff and Melton Tennis Club volunteers.

The youngsters were given the opportunity to try out on a carousel of nine different stations around the courts with the focus on tennis activities,

developing skills, confidence and team work.

Once again another superb effort by all concerned and anyone interested in continuing playing tennis, whatever their age or ability is please simply contact Di Burdett 07841 380410 for further information.
