Free Under the Sea themed event at Haymarket shopping centre in leicester

There’s going to be a commotion in the ocean at Haymarket shopping centre, Leicester on Tuesday 26 May when lots of sea creatures visit for a free half term event.

The event is from 11am to 3pm.

Children can meet two magical mermaids from the lost city of Atlantis at the Under the Sea event. The beautiful pair will gallop around on their seahorse stallions encouraging children to join in their Aquaestrian Games.

Families can also meet the Aquanauts Adrift, a duo of vintage deep sea divers who will engage youngsters with stories of the importance of the ocean through magical moments of puppetry and music.

Cali the larger-than-life octopus will also be at Haymarket with her good friend Captain Barnacle.

Mission Magpie is making a creative panel using repurposed fabrics, plastics and objects for this years’ Cosby Yarn Bomb. Children will be able to create something for the panel or make a sea creature of their own to take home at a free workshop at the event.
