The spellbing tale of Big Sister Little Brother will be told at 10.30am. It follows the story of brother and sister Rita and Archie, two poor loveable tailors who recount the time they convinced a big-headed Emperor, a foolish minister, and an exquisite Empress that they could weave magical garments.

As tensions rise will their sibling squabbles get in the way of their thrifty plan, or will magic really happen?

This brand new production is written by Mike Kenny, one of the UK’s leading theatre writers specialising in young people’s theatre and features composed music Arun Ghosh.

Big Sister Little Brother is a funny and fast-paced retelling of the classic Hans ChristianAndersen story ‘The Emperor’s New Clothes’ but with a brilliant and unexpected twist.

The show is ideal for younger audiences aged 5+ and creates the perfect opportunity for a family outing this Christmas.

The play has been produced by Leicester based The Spark Arts for Children and has been developed specifically for Library settings giving families and schools new opportunities to take part in arts and culture at venues on their doorstep.
