Melton Gig Guide: March 31 to April 3 - Melton Times

The Noels Arms hosts Tara Simms on Thursday, who plays at Gig Guide Pete's birthday party. She plays a wide mix of rock and pop classics. All welcome.

Warlock headline The Crown on Friday and The Carrington Arms in Ashby Folville on Saturday.

The Leicester band trio were formed in 1959 and are the longest running band in the county having played over 5,000 gigs. They play rock n’ roll and blues tunes.

On Saturday at The Saddle in Twyford, the Mandarins take to the stage.

They are a live rock covers band based in Nottinghamshire who play an electric mix of music from the 60s to present day.

In town on Saturday, at the Genny B, BaKlash bring their high voltage rock n’ roll sounds. They will perform songs by The Beatles, The Kinks, Primal Scream and others.

Saturday also sees Michaela Boddy bring the Double Barrell Sound Machine to The Grapes.

The inspiration for her music comes from late 60s early 70s. Expect a little soul in her set too.

Sunday is kickstarted by David Bowes who has years of experience in all aspects of playing bass, guitar, drums and vocals.

He takes to the stage at The Crown to play hits from the 60s, 70s and 80s to the present day.

A charity karaoke competition has been organised at the Genny B on Sunday.

Hosted by Scampi and in aid of Pablo’s Horse Sanctuary in Long Clawson and The British Heart Foundation, the good, the bad and the terrible are welcome.
