Christmas at Belton is one of 14 outdoor illuminated trails staged across the UK by Raymond Gubbay Limited, a division of Sony Music. Christmas at Belton is presented in partnership with the National Trust and the trail is created by Culture Creative.

Ian Cooper, General Manager of National Trust Lincolnshire, said: "I've been in this job for five years and lived in this ares for more than 30 years - IK've never seen anything like this. It's just fabulous.

"This is our third year and it's such a fantastic event.

"This year we've taken the trail gone up to the fishing lake, an area it's never been before and we have about 10 new lighting installations throughout the trail. So even if you’ve been before, this is new.

"The Cathedral of Light is back and is one of my favourites. But there's a new installation. called Floria, which is absolutely fantastic. It looks like a carpet of floating poppies.

"It encapsulates everything about Christmas. The atmosphere in the courtyard, the Victorian rides, a mile-long walkthrough with different Christmas music.

"Have a great time and dress appropriately. It can get cold and muddy, though we have a gravel footpath.

"Get in quick. Tickets have been sold all year and some tim slots are nearly sold out. Weekends are getting full but there's plenty of availability in the week. We would encourage people to pre-book."
