Winning start for Hamilton Thirds
Hamilton Tennis Club’s Ladies’ Third team got their winter season off to a great start.
They got the campaign underway by beating Roundhill Thirds 8-0.
Chris Stevens, playing with with Jo Rowe ,and Nicky Herbert alongside partner Jan Jackson made up the team.
They then secured their second victory when they travelled to Leicester and defeated Victoria Thirds 6-2.
Jo Rowe and Jo Draper-Moore took a maximum four sets while Nicky Herbert and Jan Jackson won two.
The Ladies’ Second team travelled to Enderby where they beat the club’s first team 5-3.
Margaret Heggs and Margaret Shufflebotham took a maximum four sets while Dee Adams and Sue Harrison won one set to tip the scales in Hamilton’s favour.
