Tennis aces are back in the swing

Following their successful Parent and Child Tournament, Melton Mowbray Tennis Club youngsters got back in the swing when their COVID-hit Saturday morning sessions got underway again.

Nearly 50 mini’s and juniors attended the one-hour sessions with ages ranging from four to 16 years.

Following the junior sessions, the club’s disability programme re-started.

The club’s team players, both Junior and Senior, are at last gearing themselves up for the delayed Winter League, with three men’s, two ladies’ and six junior teams all due to start playing within the next few weeks.

The Seniors also have to defend their Mercury Cup trophy and start with a tricky match against Oadby Granville Tennis Club.
