Stoke Rochford seniors complete unbeaten home season

Stoke Rochford Golf Club seniors ended their match season on a high when all seemed to flow in their favour.

They completed their home programme with a season-long unbeaten run, after 17 matches, with victory against Lingdale on Monday.

The last time they went a whole season without home defeat was 2005.

And having not recorded an away win in their previous 16 matches, they clocked up their biggest win away in 30 years at Glen Gorse on Wednesday.

* Seniors vice-captain Brian White won the final of Stoke Rochford’s singles knockout championship last Thursday.

After 41 years of trying, he finally lifted the Victory Cup with a 1-up win against Graham Gresswell.
