And with bigger fish moving in late on he built up a winning weight using maggot close to a weed bed.

He ended with a total of 52lbs that left the rest trying to get to double figures.

Pete Sisson on peg 19 lost a few good carp throughout the match but managed second place with 16lbs.

Early on Gary had a couple of good sized carp but John gradually got the F1’s to feed and he ended up as eventual winner with 29lbs and Gary second with 26lbs, both catching on maggot.

On Stream, Steve Beckhurst found some F1’s early on down the margin but he could not keep them going and with a poor last half of the match he ended with 21lbs, which was more than enough to take the lake.

Dick Smith new to the complex was second with 10lbs from peg 17.
