Heaney and Jackson right on cue

There were two competitions taking place side by side at Jackson’s snooker lounge last week, with Craig Heaney and Ben Jackson running out winners.

The popular fortnightly competitions usually attract about a dozen players, so to avoid disappointment it was decided to split it into two to comply with new COVID-19 rules.

Group one semi-finalists were Ben Jackson, who beat his dad Mike, 3-1 and Brian Slater, who beat Rhys Coleman 3-0.

In the second group Craig Heaney beat Charlie Coxson 3-0 and Liam Cooley had to forfeit the match to Neil Carter.

Craig and Brian shared the spoils for the highest break.

The next competition is on Saturday, October 10, starting at 10am. Entry is £5.

Non-members as well as members are welcome.

There are cash prizes for first and second places and for the highest break.
