Earl receives race boost
Young Melton Mowbray racing driver Tom Earl has received a sponsorship boost.
The 13-year-old, who has been competing in National Ministox racing since the age of 11, has been backed by property professionals Andrew Granger & Co, who have provided him with a new set of tyres, worth £300.

With car racing in the family – with his grandfather and father previously racing at various levels it was only a matter of time before Tom fell in love with the sport too.
Tom, who attends Longfield Academy in Melton Mowbray, said: “I’ve always watched the racing and really wanted to try Ministox, like my dad did. I love racing and wish I could race every weekend”.
Racing is clearly something that comes naturally to Tom as he regularly finishes in the top 10 of 26 racers and had four wins last season.
During a normal race season, which is between March and November, Tom races most weekends which can take him and the family anywhere from Sheffield to Taunton.
Tom’s father Andrew, who co-owns L & H Exhausts, MOT & Service Centre in the town, added: “Due to the nature of the sport there is often damage to the cars so we’re very grateful to Andrew Granger & Co for their support.
“Tom gets a huge amount from racing and he would love to pursue a career in motorsport in some way in the future.
“In the meantime, he hopes to do Andrew Granger & Co proud by winning more trophies”.
