Mark Taylor won the Lake View Fishery £1,000 Bank Holiday match - just.

He pipped rivals Sean Huggins to top spot by the narrowest of margins in terrible weather conditions on Monday.

Sunday’s Map Elite 25 Qualifier saw Bob Greenbury book his place in the final.

Saturday’s Middy MX Luggage Winter/Spring Final was won by Andy Lakey on Saturday.

Results: Andy Lakey, 104-11-00, peg 12, Marina; 2 Sean Huggins, 93-00-00, peg 12, Stream; 3 Tony Blackwell, 92-04-00, peg 10, Lagoon.

Mick Hempstock was the run away winner when Lake View Vets met on Saturday, with 62lbs from Canal peg 3. Second was Pete Cliffe on peg 9 (33lbs) while Martin Quilter (peg 26) won his section with 28lbs.

Mark Bowles was the other section winner with 26lbs from peg 15.

Last Wednesday saw Mick West (Canal peg 3) win with 49lbs. Second was Brian Holmes (peg 20, 36lbs) with Rob Shuter (peg 25 36lbs) third.

On Lagoon Dirk Williams (peg 10) won with 47lbs, with Mark Bowles second (peg 22, 45lbs).
