Anglers struggle to find carp but Atherton claims first overall
There were some good weights on both Marina and Reef but fishing was patchy at Lake View Fishery on Saturday as some anglers struggled to find any carp.
Mick Atherton, on Marina peg 14, won the match but only just as his final weight of 61lbs had a lot of ide in and some good sized carp.
Cliff Adcock, on peg 21, was second with 55lbs and third was Gary Smith from peg 5 with 53lbs.
On Reef Brian Nicholls had 61lbs but fell 2ozs short of the overall winner.
Second, on peg 16, Dirk Williams had a weight of 51lbs.
In the other section, Roy Toulson won with 37lbs from peg 7.
