Melton Times Sports Awards 2016: Just days left to nominate
Response has been good so far, but there are many more excellent candidates yet to be put forward.
We would particularly welcome nominations for our new Cricketer of the Year award as well as the Sportswoman of the Year and Clubperson of the Year accolades.

Hide AdThis will be the 12th year of the biggest celebration of local sport and achievement, and we expect another cracking line-up of finalists.
We are delighted that experienced TV sports broadcaster, and long-time friend of the awards, Ivan Gaskell, has once again agreed to host the big evening which takes place on Thursday, June 30 at Melton Market’s banqueting suite.
The 10 awards open for nominations are listed bottom right.
Nominations can be made for any level of achievement or endeavour – from grassroots right up to national and international.

Our judges will shortlist three finalists for each award, all of whom will be invited to our awards evening.

The judges will also draw up a shortlist for our two top awards - Sports Personality and Junior Sports Personality - thew winners of which will be decided by your votes.
