Melton RFC beat Oadby to reach Leicestershire Senior Cup final

Hopes of a landmark league and cup double remained alive for Melton RFC after a thrilling semi-final win in the Leicestershire Senior Cup on Tuesday evening.

Melton, who lead Midlands Two East (South) by 10 points with four matches to go, produced a fantastic second half display under floodlights to beat league rivals Oadby Wyggs 29-12.

They will next face National League Three side Hinckley in the final at Welford Road in May.
