Melton Olympic Cycling: Haines and Brown land big trophy hauls

There were plenty of awards to be dished out as Melton Olympic Cycling Club looked back on a successful 2015 season last weekend.

The club held its annual presentation evening at Melton Mowbray Golf Club on Saturday evening

Jamie Haines was among the big winners, taking home six trophies including the Midweek League Scratch trophy and as senior time trial champion over 10 and 25 miles.

Adam Brown’s haul of silverware reached double figures with 11 awards which included senior titles over 50 and 100 miles and the Fred Preston Trophy, while Steve savage added cyclo-cross champion to his senior hill climb and road race titles.

Among the junior winners, Josh Snodin achieved the notable double of track and road race champion, while Kerrigan Robb was juvenile champion over 10 and 25 miles and was top junior in the Midweek League.
