Melton Marvels serve up a winning full house
Marvels A made a winning start to the Rutland Winter League against Belles as they took an early lead and maintained it.
Some outstanding long-range shooting from Yas and Hatty helped the Melton netballers to an emphatic 27-14 win.

Hide AdTwo nights previously, all of the Marvels three Leicester Winter League teams turned out in freezing, wet conditions.
Marvels 1 played Knighton 5, and helped by very few positional changes from their previous game they gave a solid performance.
Good support throughout the court led to a huge 51-5 win, and meant Marvels 1 have conceded the fewest goals in their division this season.
Marvels 2 had another close match, this time against Rutland Rockets 5.

Hide AdTrue to form they kept everyone waiting until the last quarter to finally seal the win, 34-32.
The second team now have two wins out of three this season as they continue to chase their promotion goal this season.
For Marvels 3, there was a brilliant performance from young centre Zina who controlled the game fantastically.
The Melton team started slowly in the first quarter, but after mixing up the players’ positions they soon found a winning formula, running out 46-16 winners.
