Melton Golf: Middletons claim Monday Mingles honours
The men's competitions at Melton Golf Club were ruined by the miserable weather, but the Monday Morning Mingles made it out on course this week.
Steve and Karen Middleton won the latest round of the winter series with a nett score of 35.2, two-and-a-half shots ahead of runners-up Sam Wright and Maureen Stapleford (nett 37.6).
Finishing in third place were Owen and Chris Cook with a score of nett 39.0.

Hide Ad* The ladies’ Wednesday and Sunday nine-hole competitions have been progressing well during February.
Winners of the February 10 and 14 greensome competitions were Liz Clark and Bettyne Norton respectively with scores of net 30.
Liz Clark, Margaret Samways and Alison Gatward won the yellow ball stableford with 46 points, five clear of the second-placed team of Ann Creed, Barbara Hamston and Jean Moulds.
