Melton Golf Club: Autumn Trophy resumes with close-fought Texas scramble
The re-arranged fourth round of the Autumn Trophy took place at Melton Golf Club on Sunday morning in brilliant sunshine.
Played as a Texas scramble, the team of Bob Barnes, Ray Catton Dave McKain and Matt Catton took a narrow win in a close-fought competition.
They finished just ahead of Brendan Boyce, Steve Goddard and Frank Williams who in turn took second place on countback from Alan Newton, Mark Lewis and Dick Chapman.

Hide Ad* Despite a smattering of snow, a few hardy golfers turned out for this week’s Monday Morning Mingles competition.
The winners were John Squires and Bettyne Norton with a score of nett 38, two shots clear of runners-up Bob Luke and Cheryl Osborne (nett 40.2).
Tom Eadon and Elaine Shelton finished a little further back in third spot with 40.8.
