Melton Golf: C team claim end-of-season honours

Eight players represented each of the men’s scratch, B and C teams as well as seniors plus the ladies’ and mixed teams in a singles stableford competition.

The best four scores on each hole was added together for each of the teams.

The players enjoyed the format of mixing together all the different sections and the C team, captained by Glenn Price, ran out the winners with a score of 177 points.

They were closely followed by the B team with 173. Mark Lewis of the winning C team was the day’s star performer with 39 points.

* This week’s Monday Morning Mingles competition was won by Haydn and Liz Snow with a nett score of 34 ahead of runners-up Tom Eadon and Cheryl Osborne with nett 35.6.

Steve and Karen Middleton finished in joint third place with John and Denise Waldron, after both pairs carded a nett 36.
