Lake View Fishery: Summer Series final line-up completed

Kings Lynn angler Jimmy Brookes and Doncaster's Andy Bailey booked their last-minute tickets to the Middy Baggin Machine Summer Series Final at Lake View Fishery.

The pair were the last to make it through to Saturday’s final after winning the last two qualifiers this week.

Middy angler Brookes landed 116lb 7oz from peg eight on the lagoon pool to top a 25-man field last Wednesday, finishing 16 pounds clear of runner-up Sean Huggins.

And on Saturday, Bailey (Diawa) won the final qualifier with 108lb 10oz, taken from the canal’s peg nine, pipping Ken Daws who landed 103lb 14oz from peg 17 on the river.

But Bailey was denied a weekend double when he was left to settle for second place at Lake View’s Sunday Open.

Having originally weighed in with 11lb 9oz, he was knocked back to 104lb 12oz, but neither weight could match winner Tom Pringle.

The Lake View select angler landed 116lb 2oz from peg 24 on lagoon.

Saturday qualifier: 1 Andy Bailey (Diawa) 108lb 10oz (canal peg 9), 2 Ken Daws (Sensas) 103lb 14oz (river 17), 3 Sean Huggins (Drennan/Dynamite) 102lb (stream 10), 4 Mark Fox 96lb 1oz (canal 29), 5 Graham Elliott 93lb 1oz (canal 20).
