Melton Mowbray GC Ladies book place in round two of Tasker competition

Melton Mowbray GC Ladies beat Greetham Valley to move into round two of the Taskers competition.

The event was played over two rounds, the first at Greetham Valley on April 19.

Greetham came away with a 4-3 advantage with Nancy Denny (2&1), Dee Hughes (7&6) and Karen Middleton (1up) winning for Melton.

In the return match, played in glorious sunshine on Monday, the ladies from Melton had their work cut out to ensure passage through to the next round.

However, they secured a 5-2 home win, progressing with a 8-6 aggregate success.

Winners for the Melton team were Sue Hitchman (4&3), Nancy Denny (1up), Jean Moulds (1up), Dee Hughes (7&5) and Liz Snow (4&3).
