Melton Ghouls win Scary Scramble
With one of the final competitions of the year taking place on the final Friday of October, Melton Mowbray Golf Club hosted their annual Ladies’ Scary Scramble.
This year the competition had to be adjusted to an Am-Am with two scores to count.
Following Covid-19 restrictions, registration was outside, luckily in reasonable weather.

Nineteen teams turned out for a two-tee start with super refreshments for all competitors after nine holes.
Donations raised from the refreshments were for the Captains’ Charity Headway.
The results of the competition were: 1 Melton Ghouls 77 points, 2 Brides of Dracula 73 points, 3 Bloody Nurses 72 points, 4 Sue Hitchman, Marie Shelton, Michelle Evans & Liz Garden 68 points ocb, 5 Candy Skulls 68 points.
The prize for most balls on the par three greens in one went to Bev Lord and the prize for the best Fancy Dress went to the Cereal Killers.
