Busy month for Stoke Rochford Golf Club ladies
The Stoke Rochford Golf Club Ladies remained busy on the course throughout September, starting with the Burroughs Crystal Trophy competition.
The trophy was donated by social member Jo Burroughs in 1979, and once again she joined the ladies for post-competition refreshments and to make the presentations.
The trophy and first prize went to Laura Harvey who won with a score of 101-29=72.
Elaine Kirby was second with 98-24=74, pipping Joan Lennard (95-21=74) into third place, and gross prize went to Pam Watson for a round of 86.
The September 12 medal was won by Elaine Kirby with 95-24=71 from runner-up Jane White (101-30=71) and third-placed Lynn Ewart (99-25=74).
Elaine went close to back-to-back wins three days later in the Saturday medal, but took her second runners-up spot of the month on countback from Judy Rawson, both shooting nett 70.
But Chris Rowley took the honours with 81-13=68.
The Bring and Win stableford competition then followed with a fine prize table.
Sue Booth was the winner with 36 points, two ahead of Chris Rowley, while Laura Harvey completed the top three with 33 points.
