Women's Football: Asfordby Amateurs encouraged despite Desford setback

Asfordby were caught out by two early goals on the break from the visitors, but they certainly created enough first-half chances to get back in the game.
Jess Nightingale and Sarah Milner linked well and the pace of Sarah Brown and Hannah Green were always a threat, but the Desford defence stood firm.

Asfordby continued to press and were rewarded with a goal from Danielle Sharpe who finished a great move.
This lifted the visitors, but with little time left on the clock, they couldn’t make their late dominance count.
Some good performance across the squad, with Clare Marlow outstanding at the back and a strong showing from Paige Martin in midfield.
