There were scenes of sheer jubilation in Melton tonight as ecstatic football fans celebrated Leicester City winning the Premier League.

Crowds gathered outside Foxes striker Jamie Vardy’s home in Melton where city stars watched the Chelsea versus Tottenham game which finished 2-2, meaning Leicester won their first Premier League title with two games to spare.

The crowds of people partying in the road led to police closing the A606 over safety concerns.
