The inclement Bank Holiday Monday weather was a bonus for Asfordby FC - despite their gazebo being destroyed - as the new main pitch got some much-needed rain.

Saturday saw Asfordby’s Development team beat Woodhouse Imperial Reserves 6-0 to leave them waiting on another result to see if they progress to the next round of the cup.

Max Carroll (two), Ant Bowdery (two), Josh Brown and Joe Delorio were on target to give the Development team a comprehensive victory.

Asfordby’s U15 Foxes cemented top position in the Leicester & District Juniors Division C with victory at Kibworth Town following their impressive 3-0 win against Birstall United Juniors during the week.

Elsewhere the U15 Colts lost out to Barwell and the U14 Eagles lost out 2-1 to Wigston Youth in a game they completely controlled but just couldn’t score.
