Melton Mowbray hit back with seven-goal show against Friar Lane
Mowbray managers Matt Curtis and Cliff Thornton added new signings Jake Wain, from Barrow Town, and Luke Winfield, from Aylestone Park, into the squad with forward Wain in the starting XI and midfielder Winfield on the bench.
The home side started in positive fashion with Ash Palfreyman and Jack Baker looking very lively, but had to wait until the 20th minute to open the scoring.

Melton then immediately conceded a soft goal when centre-half Kieran Clayton clattered into an opponent. A penalty was awarded which Matthew Banton dispatched, sending keeper Richard Cragg the wrong way.
But parity was short-lived as the home side restored their lead immediately when a cross into the box was handled and Aidan Black stepped up to slot home the penalty.
Baker then scored just before half-time with a good shot from eight yards out after the home forwards once again split open the Lane defence.
