After two halted seasons Holwell Sports will return to competitive action.

Holwell Sports are among the United Counties League clubs taking part in mini tournaments - which will kick off this month.

Supplementary Cup competitions are being hosted by the league for Premier Division, Division One and Reserve Division clubs after the regular campaign was curtailed.

The Division One competition saw the biggest uptake from member clubs, with a total of 11 sides gunning for glory.

Holwell have been placed in Division One Group A alongside Aylestone Park, St Andrews, Lutterworth Athletic and Saffron Dynamo.

The competition gets underway on April 10, with Sports travelling to Aylestone.

All the teams play each other once, with the winners and runners-up qualifying for the semi-finals, to be played against the top two in Group B.

The Group A winners will host the Group B runners-up and the top team in Group B will entertain the second-placed side in Group A on Saturday, May 15.

The victorious sides will then meet in the final at Lutterworth Athletic on Tuesday, May 25.

Bugbrooke St Michael’s, Rushden & Higham United, Huntingdon Town, Whittlesey Athletic, Long Buckby and Burton Park Wanderers are the sides taking part in Group B.

Holwell’s fixtures: April 10 - v Aylestone Park (A), April 17 - v St Andrews (H), May 1 - v Lutterworth Athletic (H), May 8 - v Saffron Dynamo (A).
