Neil Miller has challenged his Holwell Sports side to bounce back from Saturday's defeat as they face St Andrews this evening.

The Sports boss admitted that the weekend's UCL Division One 2-1 defeat at Northampton Sileby Rangers was below the standards he and the players have set themselves this campaign. And he is hoping for a backlash.

"It's back to that 110 per cent," he said. "We need to make sure that press is much better in certain areas. Hopefully, we can put that disappointment of Saturday behind us.

"One win doesn't win you the league. After Saturday, one defeat doesn't make you a bad team. But you can't have too many days like that if you want to achieve the same as or better than we did last season."

Junior Gaskin netted Holwell's goal at the weekend, while at the same time St Andrews picked up their first three points with a 2-1 win at Harrowby United.

"They're a team that'll be in buoyant mood after beating Harrowby at the weekend," Miller added.

"Harrowby have been tipped to be up there again and knocking at the door of the top three teams.

"We know they're a hard working team, good pace through the forward line. We need to make sure we go there and match that, mach their commitment."

Kick off at Canal Street will be at 7.45pm.

Reflecting on Saturday's defeat, Miller added: "It's always disappointing to lose and I think we can take a few positives from the game, but not many.

"I think the lads will not mind me saying that first half was pretty sloppy for our standards. We never got to grips with them in any particular area. It was off the pace compared to where we normally are.

"Our high press wasn't always there in the first half and we gave the hosts just a little bit too much time and room to play to their strengths

"We played better in the second half but didn't have anything cut-throat. The better chances still went to Sileby."
