Asfordby teams prepare for return to action

Football was back at Asfordby last week with a whole host of friendlies and training sessions before the junior season kicks off again.

Asfordby U14s Falcons welcomed Beeston on Saturday morning before Asfordby’s first team took on Desford FC.

Junior friendlies were also held on Sunday. Melton Town Foxes hosted Asfordby U14s Eagles, where both teams played out a very entertaining draw.

With the senior leagues made null and void, Asfordby’s first team travel to Cottesmore AFC Development and Asfordby’s Development team host Sutton Bonington Reserves in supplementary competitions this weekend.

Work continues on the first team pitch, which is currently being reseeded.
