Flying start for Hamilton Ladies

The first and second teams, who played on Sunday, both won 8-0 in their opening contests.

The third team’s match was postponed because of heavy rain on Saturday.

Because of Covid-19 there was no summer league tennis this year and strict rules have been introduced for the winter matches.

The first team travelled to Charnwood and played the club’s third team.

Sue Harrison and Jessi Jackson won 6-1 6-2, 6-1 6-2 and Penny Hallam and Emily Harrison 6-0 6-1, 6-2 6-3.

The second team played Lutterworth Seconds at home.

Margaret Shufflebotham and Margaret Heggs won 6-0 6-0, 6-1 6-2 and Jo Rowe and Polly Dolby won 6-3 6-2, 6-2 6-0.
