Dan takes on the Worlds

Melton Mowbray Tae Kwon-Do Instructor Daniel Pearce has been chosen to represent England at the Tae Kwon-Do International World Championships this weekend.

The 32-year-old will join a large squad of English competitors who will be in action over Saturday and Sunday at the event which will attract the best of Tae Kwon-Do martial artists from around the world.

More than 2,000 competitors are due to attend the event at the Barclaycard Arena, Birmingham.

Daniel will compete in the men’s higher dan grade black-belt patterns event.

He gained fourth place in this event at the Welsh championships in May.

Daniel has been busy training up for this event with the English squad in Loughborough and with area chief instructor, seventh degree black-belt Malcolm Scholes, in Melton, as well as teaching his own classes at Brooksby college every Tuesday evening.
