Thorpe Arnold Firsts skittled by Lutterworth
THORPE ARNOLD FIRST XI v LUTTERWORTH TOWN FIRST XI
Lutterworth won by 130 runs
THORPE skipper Mark Matthews won the toss and had no hesitation in asking Lutterworth to bat.
After a brisk start the brakes were applied as Grobler and Fourie came on and both bowled their full 10 overs for very few runs. However with seven wickets in hand, the Lutterworth batsmen started to play their shots in the last 10 overs, finishing on 237-7 with Pickering top scoring on 96.

Only Grobler offered any sort of resistance, reaching 49 not out, but he ran out of partners to rash shots as Thorpe were dismissed in the 34th over.
Lessons will need to be learnt fast to value wickets and bat with patience for 50 overs against quality bowling week in week out to start competing at this level.
