Smith and Corbett inspire, but Syston Town draw
COSBY v SYSTON TOWN SECOND XI
Cosby winning draw
SYSTON won the toss and put Cosby into bat.
T. Corbett had two good LBW appeals turned down, but captain A. Corbett bowled Thorpe (4) and then took the wicket of Pople (11) caught behind by Doughty.
Cosby batsmen Bayliss (54) and Wagstaff (71) blasted the Syston bowlers who didn’t pitch the ball up on a good wicket. Short came on and took two quick wickets, while A. Corbett bowled unchanged and took five wickets for 63 runs as Cosby finished on 208-8.
